Standard Method of Measurement of Building Works

Referred to as SMM6. Provides detailed information, classification tables and rules for measuring building works. Its intention is to give a uniform basis for measuring building works in order to facilitate industry wide consistency and benchmarking, to encourage the adoption of best practice and to help avoid disputes. The accompanying Practice Manual provides guidance and good practice on applying the standard in the measurement of building works.
