Abertay University Archives collects, preserves, and provides access to the historical records of the University, and other archive collections of historical significance that relate to the University and its objectives

The unique archive collections currently consist of records relating to the University and its predecessor institutions going back to 1887. There are also some small collections from former students and staff.

Monday to Friday, 09.30-12.30 and 13.30-16.30 Booking an advance appointment is essential.

Please email first to ask about what records are available and to arrange an appointment. They currently have limited facilities for providing access to collections so booking an appointment before visiting is essential. As a result, please note that immediate appointments (i.e. same day or next day) are unlikely to be available. Please bring proof of identity and address to your appointment.
