Trustees Committee Minute Book

Minutes of meetings of the Testamentary Trustees Committee and its subcommittees, covering 2 August 1888 - 4 January 1933. The last meeting in the volume is of a Joint Committee of Representatives of College Trustees and a Sub-Committee established to consider a draft of the Dundee Institute of Art and Technology Scheme.

Plans of Institute Buildings

The main part of the series consists of plans and specifications for the new accommodation on Bell Street, but photocopies of layout plans for the previous building in Smalls Wynd are also included. The origin of the photocopies is unclear, but they may have been acquired from University of Dundee Archives.

Communications and Publicity

This contains syllabuses (prospectuses) advertising courses offered and describing their content. Prize lists from 1892/3 onwards also provide official records of certificates and prizes awarded to students for their achievements.

A number of early photographs show the buildings and rooms of the Institute, including art rooms and textiles rooms.
